Chithra’s story is about facing sexual harassment in public transport. She talks about several incidents that she has faced while travelling in the bus. She describes them as verbal and physical harassment and says how bystanders ignore the situation. She says that the silence from people disturbs her tremendously. She questions if her experiences are due to her being a woman. Chithra highlights the law that brings perpetrators to book for sexual harassment. Regardless, she says, that no man has the right to touch her without her consent. This story is in Sinhalese.
